Guanajuato State Library

The elegant Guanajuato State Library, designed under strict cost constraints, was selected in March 2009 as a recipient of the 2009 AIA/ALA Library Building Award which celebrates the finest examples of libraries designed by architects licensed in the United States. The library is notable for its rare use of the traditional Mexican cantera volcanic stone in a modern building.
