Leo Li has worked for many internationally renowned firms including Pei Partnership Architects, Pei Cobb & Freed, SOM, and UNStudio. He has participated and managed a number of design projects in China, the United States, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. These projects include office headquarters, marinas, urban complexes, hotels, residences, clubs, super high-rises, urban planning and design, multi-scale international competitions, and interior design.
Mr. Li was born in Chengdu and has lived in Hong Kong, the Mid-West, and New York. The diversified experience of both geographical locations as well as diversity in project types have made him deeply aware of the humanistic sentiments of each place, allowing him to integrate the uniqueness of each culture into his designs.
During his career and studies, Mr. Li has won numerous professional awards, including the AIA Honor Award, and the GSAPP Teaching Assistant Honor Award. His work “Vertical Campus” was showed-cased by the AIA in different cities throughout the USA. Mr. Li received a Master’s of Architecture degree from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan. He is a certified specialist of the US Green Building Council and an associate member of the American Institute of Architects.
