Andreas Symietz joined Pei Partnership Architects in 2003. He has since had the role of design architect as well as project architect on numerous projects, notably Faria Lima in São Paulo, Brazil and Zhenghzhou Commodity Exchange in Zhengzhou, China. He is currently a senior associate at PEI Architects and as such is responsible for directing and managing many of the firm’s projects, including the Yu Long State Guest Hotel in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, China.

Andreas began his career in the Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) in Paris, France (1999) and in Genoa, Italy (2000). While at RPBW, he worked on a variety of projects in the cultural, educational and corporate sectors.

Mr. Symietz studied at the Technische Universität Braunschweig (TUBS) in Germany from 1992 to 1997 where he earned Bachelor and Master’s degrees in architecture. Upon coming to the United States in 1997, he completed special architecture studies at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture at Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin and at Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona. Andreas is a registered Architect in Germany.
