In the face of the COVID-19 outbreak, an innovative mode of international cooperation has yielded unexpected positive results. The cooperation and persistence of PEI Architects (PEI) and China Architecture Design & Research Group (CADG) during the pandemic leads to a successful design outcome. The project team for the Bank of China Haikou Jiangdong International Financial Building in Haikou, China, quickly mobilized and purchased network meeting software that would suit both Chinese and American network ports. The Haikou Jiangdong International Financial Building will be a testament to the determination of architects across the globe during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
